This exquisite work takes advantage of using wonderful designs of the Islimi group (Arabesque) as a base, while Khatayi, "arranged knot", seal relief, greco-leaf, chains, and straw designs are also used. Various types of the straw designs, the most difficult and complicated components of the Islamic fine arts, have been employed for the gilding decoration of the Aqiq Qur'an.These strings of chain are finally "needle impressioned", to create astonishing results. Each page of this work has its own specific illumination design; and all pages are adorned with magnificent patterns available in the art of illumination. The mighty artist has selected the most sparkling jewel of each illumination type, and has skilfully blended them into a discrete design.
